Nova Scotia · Provincial Park
Overview
Cape Split is a headland walk out into the Bay of Fundy, ending above a strait where the tide runs hard past the tip. The walk is woodland; the destination is all water and moving current.
Trails
The province lists the Cape Split trail at about 13 km. Sources differ on whether that figure is one-way or return, and published difficulty descriptions differ as well — so plan a full day, carry water, and check the official park page before you go. We publish a single figure only when the official source settles it.
Camping
Cape Split is a day-use park; there are no campsites in the park.
Alerts
The cliffs at the tip are eroding — keep back from edges and stay on the trail. Fires are banned at all times in day-use parks.
Indigenous & Culture
This park stands in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people.
